| | | | | | Speaker Bios: | | | Janet Xu Janet Xu is a tax partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) Guangzhou office. Janet was relocated from Australia to Guangzhou in 1997 and has been working in Guangzhou with her family since then. Janet has extensive experience in providing PRC tax planning, investment structuring advice, with special focus on merger and acquisitions, group reorganization and Value Added Tax advisory. Janet is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. |
| | | | Anthea Wong | Anthea joined the China practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1993. She leads a national team that specialises in providing China regulatory advisory and implementation services, ranging from market entry solutions, PRC structure set-up, foreign exchange solutions to restructuring solutions, such as equity transfer, merger, liquidation, etc. She is familiar with China’s foreign investment environment and regulatory framework. She has hands-on experience in assisting clients from different industry sectors to structure their operations in China and set up various types of direct investment vehicles, including holding companies, wholly foreign-owned trading companies and service companies. Over the years, she has established close contacts with China’s approval and registration authorities as well as major industry bureaux at both central and local levels. She has also worked with many clients on enhancing communication and fostering relationships with the Chinese government authorities. |
