Dear Members of the British Chamber of Commerce Guangdong, Please be informed that our 2010 Annual General Meeting is to be held on June 21, 2010. This is the opportunity for you to put youself forward for election as one of our Committee members. There will be 9 Committee seats opening up; as all current Committee members will be asked to step down. Current members can choose to stand for re-election; and all contested seats will be elected by email votes from Members. Uncontested seats will stand as elected. The Committee is made up of 10 seats: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, British Consulate representative (by appointment only); plus 6 ordinary Committee members. Apart from the British Consulate seat; any member can put themselves forward as candidate for election. The only stipulation is that the candidate for the Chairman’s seat must be a British citizen. Committee members of the Chamber are opened to invaluable business, diplomatic and government contacts in the Pearl River Delta region and all over China. As our member, if you or anyone in your organization would like to stand for any of the above mentioned positions; please email Chris Chen, at admin@britchamgd.com. All nominations must be emailed to Chris before May 25, 2010. Your profile and picture should be attached to your email for information and election by all members.
